The Department of Posts has announced that the “Interactive Voice Response (IVR)” facility is available for the Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) customers. The customers only need their registered phone to avail the easy to use the facility.
Through the IVR facility, the customers can avail facilities for small savings schemes such as Public Provident Fund, National Savings Certificate, etc., by calling through their registered phone number at the toll-free number. These facilities include accessing information such as the status of cheques issued on the savings account or transactions on term deposit accounts, including accounts like recurring deposits, term deposits, Kisan Vikas Patra, Senior Citizens Savings Scheme, Post Office Monthly Income Scheme, and National Savings Certificates.
The India Post toll-free number is 18002666868. The toll-free number will give you many options and is available in Hindi and English. You can opt for the language after dialling the toll-free number.
By pressing five, you can get your account details for all schemes and six for blocking ATM cards through card number, account number or customer ID. There are other services like inquiries or transactions on savings account for savings bank, Public Provident Fund, etc., or term deposit accounts. You can also get information about the postal savings products.
