The last date to link PAN with Aadhaar is near. You can link your PAN-Aadhaar by 30th June 2023 after paying the fee of Rs.1,000 on the income tax portal. As per the Income Tax Act, it is mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar. The PAN card will become invalid if it is not linked with the Aadhaar by 30th June.
The Income Tax Department tweeted on 13th June, urging individuals to link their PAN with Aadhaar. It also stated that as per the Income Tax Act, 1961, it is mandatory for all PAN cardholders, who do not fall under the exempt category, to link their PAN with their Aadhaar on or before 30th June 2023.
