According to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation’s (EPFO) tweet, subscribers of the Provident Fund (PF) need to fill the e-nomination form. The nomination is for providing social security to their families. A video demonstrating how to submit EPF/EPS nominations digitally is also attached. Nominations will help in reaping benefits provided by the EPFO.
Previously, the social security organisation has raised the death insurance benefits for subscribers’ Employees’ Deposit-Linked Insurance (EDLI) scheme. The minimum insurance is now Rs.2.5 lakh from Rs.2 lakh. The maximum insurance is now Rs.7 lakh from Rs.6 lakh.
How to Add EPF/EPS Nominations Digitally
Follow these steps to add EPF/EPS nominations digitally:
Step 1: Visit the official EPFO website at www.epfindia.gov.in
Step 2: Under the “Services” tab, select “For Employees”.
Step 3: Click on “Member UAN/Online Service” on the redirected page.
Step 4: Log in with your UAN and password in the Member e-SEWA page loaded.
Step 5: Under the “Manage” tab, select “E-Nomination” in the dropdown.
Step 6: Click on “Yes” to update the details on the family declaration.
Step 7: Click on “Add Family Details”. Add all the potential nominees in this step.
Step 8: Click on “Nomination Details”. Here, you declare the total amount of share. Save the details by clicking on “Save EPF Nomination”.
Step 9: Click on “E-Sign” to generate a One Time Password (OTP). You will receive the OTP on your Aadhaar linked mobile number.
You will not require any additional physical documents after following the above steps.
