A few weeks ago, the Central Government had made a few iterations in the annual return forms of GSTR-9 and the reconciliation statement of GSTR-9C through Notification No. 56/2019 that was dated November 14, 2019. According to these iterations in the application software and the tools available offline will be made available to tax professionals by the 10th of December 2019.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has extended the enabling new changes in annual returns of GSTR-9 and the reconciliation statement (GSTR-9C) to December 21, 2019.
As per the recently released information regarding the simplification of GSTR-9 (annual return) and GSTR-9C (reconciliation statement) which let the taxpayers to not submit split of input tax credit availed on inputs services, inputs and capital goods and to not to provide HSN level details of inputs or outputs, etc, for the financial year 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.
