The GSTN has launched a new e-invoicing verification app to provide businesses with a convenient solution for verifying e-invoices and other related details. The e-invoice verifier app will ensure quick and accurate e-invoice authentication and does not require the user to log in to be able to use the same.
How can users access and download the e-invoice verifier app?
To download the app, you will need to visit the Google Play Store and search for ‘e-Invoice QR Code Verifier’.
(Please note that the iOS version will be available shortly.)
Proceed to download the app and install the same on your preferred mobile device. It is free of charge.
Open the app and proceed to scan the QR code available on the e-invoices you wish to verify. The app will authenticate the information embedded in the QR code, which can be compared with the information printed on the e-invoice.
The recent GSTN advisory states that an FAQ document will be available in the app to assist users with resolving any queries, as well as will contain a guide to use the app.
How will the e-invoice verifier app benefit users?
The e-invoice verifier app benefits users in several ways.
User-friendly interface: The app has a user-friendly interface with intuitive navigation, enabling users to easily navigate through its features and functionalities.
Non-login-based app: It operates on a non-login basis. Hence, users will not need to create an account or provide sensitive personal information, further simplifying the user experience.
QR code verification: Users can scan the QR code on an e-invoice to authenticate the embedded value within the code, thereby helping them identify the accuracy and authenticity of the e-invoice.
Comprehensive coverage: Users can verify e-invoices across all six Invoice Registration Portals (IRPs), thereby ensuring comprehensive coverage.
In addition to enhancing the user experience on the e-invoice verifier app, the GSTN is also developing Version 2 with the ‘Search IRN’ functionality. This will further streamline the e-invoice verification process.
