CBIC Announces Extension for GSTR-3B Filing for July 2019

GSTN has given information regarding the due date extension on the 20th of August. Later, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has released a notification on the 21st of August 2019 for extension of Form GSTR-3B due date for July 2019.

The notification states that GSTR-3B has to be filed on or before the 22nd of August 2019 for all taxpayers. The CBIC has given more timelimit up to the 20th September 2019  for the flood-affected districts of some states. Also, The same extended due date applies to all the taxpayers having the principal place of business in Jammu and Kashmir keeping in view the ongoing disturbance in the region.

The taxpayers whose principal place of business is in the following districts have to file their GSTR-3B on or before the 20th of September 2019.

The due date of Form GSTR-3B for July 2019 was the 20th of August 2019. As the taxpayers found difficulties in filing form GSTR-3B along with some states bearing the brunt of floods and political disturbance, CBIC has extended the due date. The CBIC notified that the due date extension will come into force with effect from the 20th of August 2019.
